Why bother?
There will be way more talent present at the Dallas show than at both of those shows combined, and it will probably be cheaper too!

The folks live in Fort Worth, I'd be an idiot NOT to go. Now I've got to figure out some sort of outfit that will let y'all know it's me! Maybe a full-length sequin gown. Hopefully Bobbe Seymour hasn't called that one already....

Hello gentlemen,
Can someone please share the dates of the convetion w/ me? I am VERY excited about it. It will be my first ever pedal steel convention!!! I've almost got butterflies! Will I get to see some "greats" fire it up? Can anyone give me some idea of what goes on? Does everyone kinda walk around and check stuff out or is it very interactive or.......? I can't wait to put some faces w/ all of your names that I see on the forum daily. Should I feel pretty comfortable to just walk up and start conversing w/ people. I just dont want to have bad manors (being a rookie and all) Well, hope to see ya'll there!

Hey, Brandon. Yes, indeed, you will see many of the greats fire it up at Dallas. It's a fabulous show with one of the best backup bands you'll ever hear. And Saturday night's dance to the music of Tommy Morrell and the Timewarp Tophands is always the big highlight for me. Just awesome.
It's very informal and friendly. People do mill about, looking at steels, accessories, CDs, tablature, etc. for sale and generally hanging out together, so yes, by all means you should feel right at home chatting with anyone, regardless of the size of their reputation.
