Got hooked on the sound of Hawaiian Style of playing in the late 30's. Took first lessons in l946 and I still can't play well enough to enjoy listening to myself.

Gene Autry's show was simply called Melody Ranch. There is a 1940 Autry film that sort of tried to cash-in on the radio show's name, so he was over the airwaves and on the big screen with that name.
I honestly don't know who played steel with him after he returned from service.

I guess I'm also a member of the OGSA. 28 on steel& 17 ob guitar and bass ,but still a kid at age 61..I won't never grow up!!!
