There can be no doubt.Deford bailey was Fired making him the ist on the list before Hank Sr.Wasn't Faron also at one time dismissed? I know it was a lot of years before he was back on. Faron had the right attitude for what's happening now. In his own word's $#@% em all. Image

I don't know what a "featured performer" is.
But DeFord Bailey was one of the cast of the Opry for more than a decade. It was following DeFord's performance of "Pan American Blues" that Judge Hay made his historic first "Grand Ole Opry" announcement in 1927.
Every good Canadian knows that. *lmao*
