I bought this mini-course way back in the 1970's and it changed my playing. This speedpicking pattern seems to be the basis of Weldon's tune "Hot Foot", recorded back in the early '80s. It's a long speed riff that runs down the fretboard on strings 5,6,7, using pedal B. I think it's in G and goes from fret 15 down to fret 3, or fret 1. It's fits over all of the relative chords in the key of G (or whatever key you choose to play it in). I use
parts of this pattern in
every fast tune I play!

I don't want to rain on anyone's learning parade, but it seems this course is still in print (available at Scotty's and others), and it is a serious disservice to Weldon and Hal to be passing it around for free (not to mention illegal)...
If it truly is out of print, they should re-release it given the interest.

John, I can't seem to find it listed at Scotty's website, What section is it under and what is the name of the item. Be more than willing to purchase it. Also, couldn't agree more with your post. It does cost these people money to make these products, and it costs whoever is selling the product money to carry it on their inventory. Just my 2 cents.

I asked about this tab at Scottys steel show 2 or 3 years ago & was told it was out of print. I also appoached Hal Rugg about it & he said he didn't know where I could find it.

Eddie, no offense taken here. Just good ole' open discussion. Does anyone know what the copywrite law is if the product is no longer in issue or print.
