I have been using a Boss-Tone in combination with a chorus pedal. I suppose the chorus pedal eliminates the need to raise the fourth string with the C pedal to a unison with the first string. And it allows me not to have to play only on just those 2 strings. I posted a thread earlier this year with an example. I recall that Paul Franklin chimed in with the description of how Weldon did it on Linda Ronstadt’s album.
