Fine guitar for someone looking for a loaded up D10. Excel guitars are fine machines.

This is true. I believe that on D-10's he always had that extra aluminum bar to hold additional cross shafts. My guitar which is due to be shipped this week is an S-10 and you can see that aluminum bar clearly in this picture of the undercarriage. I think that the Excel model S-10's did not have this additional bar.
