Oh yeah what a player! I’m not a big fan of the music but damn…. I’ve seen him play several times and I’ll jump at the chance to take in another show when he comes through Austin again! The examples in the above posted NPR link are proof enough of his ability and technical genius and one day I would love to hear a record that featured more of those aspects of his playing and less of the bombastic jam-band blues scale vibe.
His life and personal journey are radically different from 99% of the members on this forum and he’s achieved much more than most of us ever will. We should all be cap in hand before this young man if only for bringing our instrument to a much larger audience.â¤ï¸
