I love when you go in there basically having a heart-attack over some irreplacebale broken part that has rendered your Steel useless, and he says... I'll be right back, and has the newly perfectly fabricated part in hand in 15 minutes, while you dink around on his Steel and shmooze with the other customers, maybe have a few jelly-beans and a beer.

I met Jim maybe 8 years or more ago and had him put a knee lever on my Franklin one time while there and spent many a day visiting and playing some of the steels on display in his shop and was able to meet lots of great steel players while there. JayDee for one. Fun just hanging and watching a pro at work. Thanks Jim.

I gave him my credit card number over the phone once. I wouldn't have done that to no other. Because of his reputation on the Forum I suspected he was an honest man. Of cours he was!
And he could be humorous too.
I called him in the middle of the night, because of the time difference and after the little chat we had he said: So I'll charge you the 10.000 $'s.

Palenscar, Palenscar, where do you roam?
