I've read some reviews on guitar forums, and the guys seem to love the sound of the amp - of course, that doesn't speak for the workmanship/quality/duration. I would be tempted to purchase one just to fool with at home, but I don't really want to deal with the hassle of tubes anymore.
As an aside, I bought a "junk" (the feeling of most people I talk to) Behringer 100 watt Modeling amp, probably 10 years ago, and that thing is a quiet as a church mouse, has sounded great all these years, and has a ton of options for sound/style, being a modeling amp. Quality is "most" times representative by the badge name, but not always...
silkyn steel guitar tube amps.

If I had a background/expertise in repairing electronics I wouldn't hesitate for a second to buying one of these amps.
I've had tube amps back in the 1950's and had to change out all the tubes eventually...so that's not a big deal if your a tube/amp owner. The wiring updates are the things that would stop me from a purchase.

If this amp has a good sound at home/studio, then just use it in the PA for the big gigs.
We are awaiting some evaluations as it comes out the shipping box!
A lot of worry about who could fix it if needed - isn't this on-going for all amps that we need to get fixed. (I had a 'soft' switch controller the Phasor go out on my Session 500 a few years ago. Local repairman had to get parts to make a new switch from Peavey, total cost to repair locally ~$225.00.
Thanx,
Jim
