Ha...I like this. Hotel California--like an A/B comparison. Felder has that great tone, then Walsh kicks in and the Tele just has that extra top end and presence...very much like the Century 6 and B6!

I have a Gibson of that era, and it sounds great through some amps, and not very good through others. Odd thing is, it doesn't sound very good through my old 1950 National amp, but sounds great through a clone of that same amp ! :?:
Maybe some sort of impedance match on one is different (??)

I wonder if the clone is exactly like the 1950 amp? I'm not an amp expert, but I would assume that modern replicas probably sound cleaner and stronger than the originals?

+1 plus these days tone and timbre is altered more in the pedals than on the amp.
