My Sho-Bud seat was a little too short for me, so I bought some wooden dowels and caps to fit them. I pushed the dowels right up into the original legs and cut them to make the seat the height I needed. At first I painted the ends of the wooden legs that showed with silver metallic paint, but later found some silver metallic tape and that looked even better. The legs still fit nicely under the seat when folded. This works well for me and it was a lot nicer on the pocketbook than ordering new guitar legs and rods.

Thanks, all. I guess one other factor besides leg length is amount of natural padding on one's thigh... I conveniently forgot to think about that!

Anyway, I ended up buying another throne with better padding that goes lower and higher than I need, and the seat locks so as not to swivel. That seems important. A custom pac seat at some point seems like a good next move, assuming there are gigs to pack up for!

Cheers!
