I gig on a 1999 Carter SD 12 Ext E9 with 5 and 6, ebony birdseye mica. I have a lacquer MSA Vintage XL set up at home with 5 and 5 as my practice axe. It's Mark Tomeo's old steel.

Sierra 2-14 Uni.
But about to convert to David Wright Bb6 tuning.

Just can't decide whether to put it at top, with 2 below
or in middle like Sierra did their Uni 12's
with one extra above and one below.
It is a fairly low tension tuning so maybe one above is right.

Got my Sho-Bud extended E9th in 1977. 3 and 5..had it converted to a Uni in 1981 ..had the hardware made up by a friend. Got a Carter Uni about 10 years or so ago. I went from S-10's to the 12's. I could never afford a D-10. So basically from 1981, I've been on a Uni. When my Sho-Bud was ready, I went straight to a gig. Yes it was a struggle, but I made it to the end :) I still have both :)

I thought about switching back to a uni but I would only save 6 lbs. Didn't seem worth it.
