practicing without an amp is one thing. I agree, but practicing without a volume pedal under your right foot I see as a mistake and personally do not agree with. If you wanna unplug it..fine, but you already don't have an amp plugged in so what would be the purpose of removing the V Pedal ? Having the hardware under your foot is part of the players positioning and total package. Half the battle of steel players is playing with a V Pedal for consistent smoothness of Volume...why remove that from the big picture ?
