Ricky, ever try 3M's Finesse It II? It's a 'swirl remover' type liquid, but it works wonders to take out small scratches, and the 'hazy' type effect from rubbing against a shirt etc. Amazing stuff, just abrasive enough to do a golass like polish, yet gentle enough not to cause 'rub throughs'. Stuff ain't cheap, at like $10-12 for a 16oz bottle, but it will last ya a LONG time.

Ricky, Your efforts have produced a beautiful guitar. I'm sure it plays as well as it looks. Now, don't go putting ugly white fret boards on it.(just joking with you buddy)Nice job.<FONT SIZE=1 COLOR="#8e236b"><p align=CENTER>[This message was edited by Leon Roberts on 27 February 2003 at 08:47 AM.]</p></FONT>

Hey Gino; that sounds interesting....I'll have to look into that...ummmm.
Leon...HEy White fret boards wood LOOK Great on this steel Image Image Image>hey anybody got some...???yeaaah riiiight... Image Image
Thanks ya'll.....and I played it last night and today at sound check at the Houston Rodeo....and Last night I had to tweek on her for several songs..ha(didnt' back off some of the barrel tuners enough when I put them back in>common mistake)...but she settled in very nicely...and today setting her up and playing ...it was all there like a dream come true...and I doubt the tuning will float ever again on the changes...ah..ha...
And ONE MORE dream come true...Amazingly This Shobud(first I've seen) has ZERO drop...I pushed the pedals when I first strug her up...and there is NO drop in the 4th string E....NONE>NOT even a hint...and I use a wound 6th string...so no drop there when "A" pedal is pushed...but that normal for a wound 6th...yeee haaa.
...and like Jeff Peterson metioned in another post(which I always new..ha) it is the Axle that fits the tightest is the ones with less drop...and the axle on this E9 neck is nice and snug...and therefore ZERO drop...yeeee haaa again.
Oh and she sounds WONDERFUL...and I asked Dale: "how does this bud sound"...he said: "Sounds like a ShoBud"...ah...ha...I said: "AMEN to that".

That´s interesting, especially that pedal 4 on C6 and the high G to F# on pedal 5.

Jeewhizz, Ricky, all you have to do now is take off that C6 and and it'd be perfect! Image
No serious, it's a real beauty, gonna try your polishing system on mine.
Most interesting however, zero drop I mean, rob.
