Sorry for your family's loss. And, I understand your frustration at how the U.S. conducts a war. It's not a game. It's all in or all out. The Great Generation understood what it takes, but they're nearly gone now. I served 70-72 and have much respect for your son's patriotism and duty.
God bless him as he looks down on his family and country from above.

My sincere condolences go out to you and your family Willis. No one should have to go through this. All I can tell you as a military retiree, is that no matter who is running the country and making decisions, "duty, honor, country" means everything to anyone who has ever served and as a brotherhood we take every loss personally. I know the sacrifice involved for those that serve and their family members and have the highest respect for those that have gone before. I hope that over time you can heal...I am very proud of your son and his choice to step up and serve the country. God bless you and your family and know that for anyone who has lost a buddy in the military, the national anthem will always be a sobering time of reflection.

So sorry for the loss of your son!
Willis, my sympathies! That is a tough one and been down that road about 9 years ago. My guitar became my escape. I truly hope you can find comfort in faith, family, friends and your guitar. Your right, the world don't make much since sometimes and it is hard to understand...especially if you feel there is no good reason why. You and yours will remain in our mind as we attempt to support in thought and prayer as best we can. I am so sorry!

I want to thank all of you for your concern, prayers and support. Music has been such a large part of my life and all my children too. They are all very talented. When I lost my wife I turned to my music and now I am doing it again. If my son could speak to me he would say " Hey Pops why don't you go fishing or play your guitar". So I am blessed by all the friends and family. Thank you again for all the kind words, it means the world to me.

Bud, I have already expressed my sympathy via e-mail but I want to endorse your feeling about our corporate owned government. They make people believe that our military is fighting for freedom and democracy. NOT!! They are dieing so the globalist corporation can steal what they want in the world and get richer. Oil in Iraq, lithium in Afghanistan, etc., etc.
Hang tough.
Hang tough.

Bud, when I talked to you the other day and you told me you had lost your Son, I had no idea he was in the military! I am so sorry that you & Linda have to go through this. God's best healer is time. No it will never completely go away but the hurt will ease and more of the good times you had together will be a comfort. I had so hoped the you two and Roy and I would be able to get together but that was not meant to be either. He did see your picture and we talked about how God bought you two together as He had bought us together. "Our" song was "Keeper of the Stars". We both love you Bud. Roy talked many times about how and where you both met. I added you and your family to my prayers. May God comfort you all. Laurie
