Bob, how did I degrade another instrument? I just pointed out that this steel is an incredible instrument, contains no carbon fiber, and cost way less than the new MSA. How can that possibly be construed as degrading? Methinks you doth protest too much. In any case, there's nothing I could possibly do to make THIS steel look ugly.

Honestly, I think people should spend their money however they want to. If there are people out there with $6,000 burning a hole in their pocket and a keen desire to own a guitar made of carbon fiber, I have no problem with that. Different strokes, as they used to say.

And if there are people out there who want to spend way less on any number of excellent instruments, new and used, from manufacturers and dealers who have long histories of delivering instruments, I have no problem with that either.

Stephen a fine Steel for sure. I too was able to see this guitar at Bobbe's store earlier this year and it is a beauty. Bobbe did an outstanding job of restoration on this guitar. Wear it, or rather , sit behind it and be proud, or just set it up and look at it. I wouldn't spend any time pondering about your PP Tone/value statement regarding this guitar, I own a Carter and a Sho-Bud and you didn't offend me one ounce..by the way, can I borrow it for a year or two ?

Tony, I don't mean to imply that other steels sound bad, or worse, or anything like that. I just mean that the PP has a unique and beautiful tone. There's no way it's the only good sounding steel out there.

Stephen, thats how I understood your note to begin with thats why I said don't spend any time pondering it. The PP's sound great to me as well I just don't own one yet ! And if someone takes it the wrong way ,well then it's kinda too bad I suppose .
