Super nice 12 stringers!
I have to give Micky kudos for reviving that Bud though. Outstanding work!
I'm kinda partial to Bob's ZB as well, what a beauty!

I think this thread shows that there are a lot of 12 string players out there. I hope this means somebody will build a 12 string economy guitar like the Encore or Legend (formerly known as the Carpsteel.)
Rumor has it that ETS was planning on coming out with a 12 string model, before Larry Agin's tragic death.

It sounds and plays great, too. Johnny Cox was kind enough to set it up for me, and it has a Telonics p/u. (Among others, but my favorite.)
Only thing i'm having trouble with is the leap from LKL to LKR with two LKV's. Thinking of trying some inner knee levers to relieve the move...any advices appreciated.

Ken, i would have enjoyed having a chat in Commonwealth corner with you but I cannot make it this year as I am supporting my son in his rowing. Here is a pic of the Anapeg engine room. Have a play on it in the Telonics room and see what you think.

That's a whole lot of guitar Ivan. I'm sure it will generate a lot of interest in Dallas. Its a shame you won't be there this year, but good luck to you and your son anyway - maybe we'll see him at the olympics one day!

Well Chris, I haven't posted anything on here for quiet a while now, so hopefully I can remember how it's done.
This is my D12 8/5 BMI built in January 1981 for the great Jerry Boyanton. He was a big fan and friend of Zane Beck guitars having already owned a few ZB Customs. In fact he bought one of the first ZB Customs Zane sold. I bought this BMI in 1983 so he could obtain the finances to have Brumley build him a new ZB. It's really a nice guitar in all respects--except weight.
Cheers!!
Benton

Here is my Zum Uni:
It is 8x7, with a bit of an unusual coped setup by Tony Glassman - it emulates a D-10 in that it has a regular E9 tuning on the top 10 strings (including the D on string 9). Pedal 8 is just for the locking system - mash it, engage the lock, and 5 strings get lowered, giving a full 11 string B6 (F# and C# on strings 1 and 2). The standard pedal 4 is on one of the B6 knee levers, so you have everything a standard 8x5 D-10 has, but you do have to lock it into one tuning or the other. BTW, it is teal, but teal always seems to photograph as blue with digital cameras.
Here's my Sho-Bud, which is waiting for some parts still to get finished as a Uni, 8x5.
I am having difficulties getting any volume out of the Sho-Bud with the current pickup....

The magnetic field appears to be weak. The earth's north south lines dont give the correct impedance match to the amp. You may wish to consider orienting your guitar east and west to see if that improves matters.

I think ohms law is in tact regarding the shobud. That pickup has infinite impedance.
Speeking of Infininity, here it is.
...and my beloved Fessenden (with infinite Z pickup also.

I just found this picture of my former green MSA classic. I played this guitar fr 25 years, till I replaced it with the Millennium.
