It's really important to understand that you will need to be patient. It will take some time and regular practice to get past the basic physical things you need to learn. Start slowly, get some personal instruction, get some Jeff Newman courses, and play some every day. Anyone can learn if they have the desire and are willing to stick with it. Good luck to you.
