No one has mentioned Roger Osborn. In my opinion Roger was a great promoter and organizer. I know Roger has stepped down as president, but I hope he is still in the club and still playing steel. Roger always made me feel welcome when I came to Siloam Springs. I will always consider Roger a dear friend.

Keith you are right on buddy, Roger is a super guy alright and I'm proud to call him a good friend.
I heard him and Doris were remodeling a little at the house and that keeps anyone busy for sure.

Donna, you know Jerry and Austin are always invited. We're having it the weekend of April 28th which is the same weekend of the Dogwood Festival. We are all going to get together after the holidays and start putting it all together. Be sure and mark your calendars for that weekend.

I'm getting old so steps bother me. Is there more than one way to enter the building downtown? If you're a man sized guy like Scotty Henderson, Mike McGee, Jerry Newberry, Ray Qualls, maybe those steps aren't so frightening. But to me???Terry Wood at Marshfield, MO tells me he has a different place for his show with no steps. Oh, well, why do I have to worry. Everybody is so kind to me and they carry my stuff in and Boy, do I appreciate that! Being a runt sometimes is good and sometimes it's bad! Smile Being an old runt can sometimes be better! I'm sure anxious to see everyone! We love the show at Siloam Springs. It's always a great one!

Keith and Fred......I did a date with Roger last night and we talked a little bit on the subject. His concerns were....A. That since the date is held in conjunction with our local , annual , Dogwood Festival , that motel rooms will be full and prices might be raised and ....B. that parking downtown will be limited due to the Dogwood crowd.

I'm certainly not trying to get on anyone's wrong side....Lord knows that all of these members are personal friends. I'm just the messenger boy.

Here in Siloam, we refer to this location as the "Ryman", mainly for its' character. Granted , it is a beautiful building and a very intimate setting. Having said that , my brother Jerry makes a good point about the steps. It equals two flights and everyone is aware of my own 'knee' problems so obviously I am sympathetic to his concerns. Add to that a very limited "set up" , "tune up" , lunch , and vendor space.

On the other hand , this location fits the budgetary concerns faced by a small club like ours so I hope that everyone comes...we will have great music and good fellowship.

Jerry, the building does have a lift that goes up to the top of the steps. Its pretty slow but I guess it does still work. Saves from carrying the equipment up the steps. Also used for wheelchair access. Gonna miss the Baptist Assembly Grounds, as it sure was a beautiful place to play, but when friends get together, anyplace is a "fun" place to meet. Smile
