Sorry I couldn't make it folks. I had really hoped to. My band Gravy had our CD release party up here on Saturday Night and had to play a private party Sunday night. I'll bet it was a good time. Well you can at least check out some of the tunes here: http://myspace.com/thecountrygravy

This was my first carport jam and hope it won't be my last. Heard some good steelin, good to see old friends and meet new. The food was great. BOB

Folks,think back to a time when you were a "youngun" and went to a Saturday night dance at the local Grange hall or school.
Good guitar pickers,lots of great homemade food,and nothing but loving,friendly faces to
have fellowship with.
That was the " Carport Jam " at Ray and Dixies. The " OLE RINGMASTER, Fred Justice," did a fun job of keeping the Pickers rotating through a bevy of old C.W. Steel favorites,as well as some newer material (all the way up to the 60's)

You could wrap the hospitality there around you like a blanket. Patty and I had a ball,and we will first in line for the next Jam , MARCH the 28th,2007 !! Phillip.

Dixie and I want too thank all for participating in the 4th anual Az. Carport Picking Party.Beautiful people, great music,some of the best food I ever tasted.Thank you girls,without you it just don't happen.

I hope you folks are planing on having a 5th Annual, because there is a chance we may be moving down that way this coming year.

I've been in Vegas for 20 years and she's been here for 45 years, I think thats long enough.
Time to go somewhere with less crazy people.
I kind of like Pima and Cochise county, but have no idea where I'm going.

Alvin,yes there will be a 5th annual "Carport Pickers Jam" but before the 5th annual we all decided to have one on March 28th 2007.You are more than welcome to come join the fun,food and pickin.
Who is this Fred Justice everyone keeps talking about?

Oh!!! I remember,he was the guy that I thought was swatting flys then found out he was keeping everyboby away from the food.
