Thanks everyone for your help and advice. I just ordered a head cab from Rick Johnson to split my Fender TR. Will continue to use the original combo cabinet to house my 2-12's. Requested Rick send me a strip of Tolex to use with a piece of wood fill the gap at the top of my original cabinet.

Yes, totally agree. I marvel at Rick Johnson's craftsmanship.

Rick Johnson cabs. Amp started life as a Quad. Rick does beautiful work, and his prices are very reasonable. Same Tolex, grillcloth and piping as my Maz Jr..
