Well, a year and another six steels "redone" and delivered to Jeff ... this time we rolled right into Jiffy Lube Live's backstage loading area ...

One "Mint" Model G Deluxe (had a late 50's coil that he wanted rewound with 38 AWG), two Silver Hawaiians (complete "makeover" ), A prewar B6 that needed bridge and nut repair, an ornate wood Oahu w/ horseshoes (complete makeover) and a black wrinkle Model 59 that needed tuning machine help ...

Left with two ShoBud JB frypans (long & short scales) to redo ... and a nice photo

Jeff told me Steve absolutely loves his Touring Bus ... said he wants to be buried in it

Love those real "on-the-road" special stories and having Steve Miller and Jeff Kearns drop in for an afternoon is up there. Right on!

Thanks for posting! I remember when "the Joker" came out (I thought it was '73) and it was a great album. I loved the earlier stuff, "Brave New World" with "Seasons" and "Kow Kow" etc. He really turned up the jets on his 70's stuff and it was a mainstay at 70's parties.

Sorry about the quality of that video Rick. I threw it up here before checking it through. He obviously had better things to do than point the camera at the musicians on stage. I love the minute of darkness after the knee shots. Oh well, the steel guitar sounds great as does Mr. Miller. Good playing Jeff! Your former years of experience obviously shines through in your good and confident playing. Always loved this song.
