Roger,
Alma was shamefully disqualified and then severely punished for cheating.

The other "cheaters" will be lined up in St. Louis and forced to perform their dastardly deed in front of Scotty and everybody right there on the main stage after the Dinner Break on Saturday night. The line-up is quite unbelievable.....most alarming. This set will be called "Operation Russless".

To soften the blow of having to expose grown, professional men like this, I've asked a very special guest to come in and show the others how to go "Russless" legitimately. Image

Looking forward to seeing you in St. Louis;
you're a favorite of mine, too, Roger,

Laney

JERRY I AM SORRY TO HERE THAT YOU WERE ATTACKED FOR BEING TALENTED ENOUGH TO WIN PART OF A CONTEST LIKE THIS. I GUESS JEALOUSY CAN MAKE SOME PEOPLE ACT STUPID! ALTHOUGH I DIDN'T WIN I CONGRADULATE THE WINNER AND HOPE TO GET TO MEET HIM AS I WOULD WHOEVER WON. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE THE DIFFICULTY LANEY HAD IN MAKING A DECISION BECAUSE THERE COULD ONLY BE ONE WINNER!

WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN COOL IS IF SCOTTY COULD HAVE WORKED IT IN THE SCHEDULE TO HAVE ALL 4 WINNERS PERFORM WITH LANEY!

NOW, I AM JUST A YOUNG 29 YO UNKNOWN PLAYER WHO JUST ENJOYS PLAYING AS A HOBBY AND I LOVE THE STEEL GUITAR SHOWS WHEN I GET TO ATTEND, MAYBE ONE DAY I CAN PLAY ON ONE, EVEN WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT MAKES ME SO NERVOUS. I AM SO READY FOR ST. LOUIS I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO ALL MY PREVIOUS TAPES OF STEEL SHOWS OF THE PAST. HOPE TO MEET ALOT OF NEW PEOPLE THERE!

Laney:

This might be too much to ask ! I would like for you to put out a CD of the show ,
Operation Russless.
I know I am not the only person that can't
be at the live show. I would buy a CD and I think others would also.

Just a thought: Image

Bill,
There is an Operation "Russless" CD available with all the professional Pranksters renditions of the Matters of the Heart CD songs. It is the Operation "Russless" CD that we will be performing live in St. Louis. If you'd like a copy of that, and you won't be in St. Louis, please visit our Website for information on how to order our products. www.russandlaney.com
Thanks for asking.

Hey Mark~~
Today I finally got time to get on the Forum and just read Laney's post that you're the winner of the Operation Russless contest!!! Good going my good friend! Many of us at the Waterloo, Davenport and Wisconsin Rapids shows have often observed that you are an oustanding player who is destined for bigger things! We'll be in St. Louis cheering you on!!!! ...lefty

Hey Mark, I just wanted to add my name to all the others that have already wished you well. There were some great contestants and I'm sure Laney had a hard time picking a winner. See you in St. Louis!

I think all the winners were first class. But, I did have my favorite. Image

Jerry you don't have anything to apologize for. I thought you did a super job. I could set and listen to you for a while. If someone sent you hate mail because you are a winner ,what kind of looser must they be.

Laney did have a tough job here the players were all good.

Laney I guess I will have to find another girl sanger to put on Jeremy's CD cover. Image
