I found this song in a book of Big Band tunes, and although I had never heard it, I thought it sounded good on steel guitar. After learning it from the sheet music I went to Youtube and listened to some of the early recorded versions, including Jimmy Dorsey's #2 hit from 1957. The Big Band versions didn't really appeal to me, but the basic melody and chords as written in the song book sounded good on steel, so I decided to go with it. It was a good lesson in how bands can reinterpret what is written on a page. I guess I did some reinterpreting too.
