Well, I am still planning on being at the Saluda show this Sunday. I have been doing this show for around 16 years and I always hate to miss one. I am still having trouble with the coordination with my right hand so I won't be playing, but I will have my booth set up with my products. I hope to see all my friends there.

Wayne, I'll buy you a hot dog---In fact, every steel player there will chip in, so they don't have to put up with that OTHER guy's bass playing!
But I'm bringing my bass anyway--FOREWARNED IS FOREARMED!!!

I attended the show for the first time. I'd heard my friends Herby and the late Harold Flynn talk about it for several years. I talked to a few of you briefly, but mainly stayed in the background. What a great bunch of players, and nice guys too. Maybe next time, I may offer to play some fiddle. My steel playing sucks. You can hear examples on my web site on the "click to listen" buttons, just below the list of songs.
Thanks to all for a nice weekend of real country music.

Again another great show. With Doug smoking the Zum and bringing new light to some of his older recordings..it was spectacular. The back up band as usual not only followed Doug's stuff, but shared licks to benefit each selection. Kudos to Woodie Ledford, Bob Strickland, Wayne Smith, and Wayne Stowers. It was so good to see Herby and Bunny as we continue to pray for complete recovery. Thanks Charlie and Stephen.
