I just wanted to mention that I have been doing this show since Rick Troyer began doing them several years ago and it is without a doubt one of the finest shows there is. Everything about it is first class, so if you are within driving distance, you won't want to miss this one. The sound is always great and Rick always has a great band. The recordings Rick has done in the past sound like a studio. Rick plays guitar very well and when he backs a steel player, he plays all the chords on the chart and it really makes a difference.
I'll shut up and quit rambling on, but this is just such a great show and Rick is one of my favorite people in the Steel Guitar Community.

Thanks for the kind words Herby . Whatever "success" the show has achieved is due to great steel players like you and the many friends who give so freely of there time and energy . And yes , you have been on every show since 1996 . I still remember the first time you played for us . It was the first time alot of people heard you up this way . Jaws dropped while people stood and applauded . WOW ! I'm gettin' excited now . Tickets go on sale Mar.1st ....Rick

Unfortunately, I am unable to attend this year, since Jo Dee has us booked that weekend (glad to be workin'!). I really appreciate Rick and the crew for inviting me again this year, and for being willing to see how my schedule played out. I'll miss being there with everyone, and I just wish the 2006 version to be a huge success.
I hope to see all of you down the road soon!

Thanks for the kind words David . You are a great player and a terrific young man . We count you as one of us and are so proud of the success you are having . Jo Dee has a wonderful addition to her show having you for her steel man . We'll all miss you this year especially since you've been doing the Hummingbird shows since the very first one in 1996 . You can go ahead and mark your calendar for the 2008 show (April 25, 26 and 27) and ask Jo Dee to book around it .Or invite her along ! In any case Dave continued success and safe travel . Catch on tour somewhere down the road . Rick

Yikes ! Only 18 more days 'til the Big show ! I can already hear Herby rippin' it up on "Window Faces the South" and John giving me "shivers" as he plays "Look at Us " in my mind . If you haven't got your tickets and reservations yet there's still time but don't wait too long as the hotels are fillin' up fast . Hope to see ya at the show . Rick

Hey Jerry, looks like I'll get to catch your set this time. As a matter of fact there's a good chance I'll be moving your guitar on and off the stage for you so, bring the light one OK?

Well I thought I'd be able to get down there this time, but my 7th grade daughter got a lead in our high school musical and my son has a double header so It's not lookin good. I'm sure you'll have a great show all the "TOP DOGS" in one place so pick one for me. Maybe next time, Todd
