Hey b0b, thanks as always for being Mr. BIAB.

Now I'm just waiting on a confirmation from the facilities (church) that we have the rooms set aside for 4/23.

Thanks, Bill, for setting this up again. I will plan to be there.

Thanks also for sending us the DVD of the last jam.

Ok, along with the above link, I've emailed out an announcement note to everyone on my usual jam mailing list. I had to update about 10 bad (bouncing) addresses. Two guys whose emails no longer work (including their listings on the Forum) are Frank Carter and Dave Magram. Anyone know their current addresses? Thanks.

Here's a list of folks who have said they plan on coming (a few are unsure, but most have penned it into their calanders). In no particular order:

Jim Baron, Charlie Wallace, Al Vescovo, Steve French, Tom Cooper, Jim Hankins, Dave Zirbel, John O'Neill, Henry Brooks, Steve Benzian, Doug Berry, Larry Chung, John McConnell, Tim Kavanaugh, Colin Alder, Don Gage, Dave Magram, Pat Ickes, Frank Carter, Will Holtz, John Vaughan, Bobby Lee, Pat Hattic, Richard Sinkler, Gary Walker, Doug Berry, Dave Frye, Brad Bechtel.

That's a great crowd. Don't worry, there's room....2000 square feet. Image

Does anybody have a PC projector we could use? I could probably get a screen. Right now it looks like we'll have two BIAB laptop providers, b0b and Jim Baron. It would be great if we could put the chord charts up on a screen for all to see.

Hi Bill,
I'll be bringing Todd Clinesmith with me. We're in a bluegrass band together. He builds and plays some of the finest Reso Guitars around. He has a couple of Ricks and would like to play "plugged in".
Thanks for your hard work,
Pat

Pat, you mean he'd be bringing a dobro or two? That'd be great!

I was aiming at making this jam session, would have loved to meet other steelers here in N. Ca., but.... just got an email booking me for a gig in Sac on that day so, maybe next year. Have fun everyone.

Bill,
I'm sure he'll have at least one with him because we have a band rehearsal the following day.
See you soon,
Pat

Jim Ives and I will be hitching a ride Up from L.A. with Al Vescovo. (Or maybe Al and I will be riding with Jim. All I know is we're not taking my car.)

This is a great month for California sttlers. First we had the L.A. Jam, then Jim Palenscar's grand opening and concert is coming up, and then the San Jose jam.

I have room in the truck if anyone wants to carpool from the north bay.

Dave-I'll be going down for this one. At this point it looks like my family will be driving with me, my mother-in-law lives about a mile from where the jam is going to be held.

I'm going to bring my Clinesmith dobro for you and everyone else to check out. I understand Todd Clinesmith is coming down with Pat Ickes.

If the family thing doesn't fly for some reason, I'll get ahold of you-provided you still have room in the truck.

It looks like I'll be able to make the jam! The one I attended was a real blast. Looking forward to it, and playing Todd Clinesmith's guitars.

I'll bring my 8-string National Model D with the Hipshot Trilogy tailpiece and my Dekley S-12. Next time I come down with the fifth-wheel maybe I'll bring Garcia's old ZB.

Pete-It'll be great to see you. I was at the Jimmy Heffernan workshop with you in Sacramento last year. That was "pre-Clinesmith," when I had my 1932 Dobro with me. I'll probably bring that with me as well-I'd like to have Todd do some work on it.
Todd e-mailed me-he is bringing one of his double-neck Rickenbackers to play but also a new prototype dobro design with different "insides." I'm hoping I don't fall too in love with it!

Hey Pete, it'll be great to see you at the jam again. I'm really glad that you, and all other attendees, can make it. Looks like this time we'll even have a PC projector (thanks to Pat Ickes and his wife) and a screen to display the chord charts from the BIAB tracks. Wow, we've made it to the 21st century! Image
