Roger R, I agree Pedal A down on fret 4 string 5 is F, string 6 is C and string 9 is F#...another way but not so good is fret 12 string 9 for D, string 7 for F# string 5 for C with 1/2 A pedal and string 4 for F with the E to F lever

I read the last interview Jimi did before he died, and he said he was interested in pedal steel, but hadn't had the time to study, being marketed as he was. His image was fabricated by the record co.
