Loafers with leather uppers can be found at K-Mart and Target at very reasonable prices. I gave about $30 for a pair of Tom Macann at one place and about $35 for a pair of leather mocs at another.

You don't want a heavy shoe that inadvertently bumps a pedal; but the right amount of mass makes a pedal change quick' So try to find a balance there. My personal test is to see if I can play a LKL and a B pedal using the Emmons set up.

Either socks or bare feet. If I can't feel the pedals I'll only make more mistakes than I already do.

How 'bout these...this way I won't need one of those fancy new volume pedals :)

The only shoes I can play with are Tom Macann & St. Street loafers.

I played at home a long time with a thin soled pair of deck shoes, soles failed. Soft Rubber Soled Moccicians, Bates Chucka Uniform Shoes, and Sage Cowboy Boots, Don't seem to matter as long as the sole has no big rough tread. They catch a pedal on a AB to BC or BC to AB move.

I love pickin' in my old ostrich Tony Lama's, I bought in Justin Texas, in 1998. I've had'em soled and heeled once, but now the tops are gettin' holey. I may have to get used to my pointy toe Luccese boots, cause the Lamas are worn slick. Tennis shoes are OK, but they're to flat, boot heels make it happen for me.
