John...
I hope to have all the confirmations from the rest of the players by the end of this week....the schedule is nearly done, and I will publish it as soon as this happens. Of course, there are always last minute changes that happen due to illness, travel problems, etc. We are looking forward to having you there, John.

We will have the local Fox 10 TV station there on Thursday doing a remote. The weather man at that station is a great singer and will more than likely chime in on a song.

It is really shaping up

I too am looking forward to getting into some Arizona sun for a few days. It's been pretty dreary here in Atlanta over the holidays and a road trip to Mesa sounds like just the right ticket.

The SWSGA always puts on a great show and I'm sure this year will be no exception!

A little sunshine and steel guitar in the desert is perfect for those of us who are snow bound. See you all soon!

I will not be able to attend this year. Sometimes life just gets in the way. Playing at the show these last 5 years has made me a better player. I practice all year for the show and my technique and tone has gotten better each year. I thank Billy and Joe and the rest of the bunch from the SWSGA for allowing me to get up there and trying to sound good. Well now I am working so much with 2 different bands that I just can't break away. If that ain't a catch 22 I don't know what is. Most of all I wish I could be there to congratulate my mentor and friend Terry Bethel for finally getting his due and becoming a Hall of Famer. Yea Terry, it was way overdue. Anyway I hope to be there next year so ya'all have a great time, I know you will.

Another year I won't get to hear all the good steel music. We had to cancel due to a financial problem that just popped up. Oh well better luck next time.
