Go by and see Tommy Dodd's effects box - he has put some time and effort in to making his effects better.

Looking forward to seeing Tommy again and Brett as well. I haven't seen them since Clinton, GA steel show several years back. This is also a TTT for the show. Need to keep it close to the top of the post this weekend.....

Looking forward to going to this show. Hey Roger, you know that Paul can't go without me.
Can't wait to see all of you...

Hey friends,

I hate to miss this great show, and the salute to Wimpy, but I've been battling this flu, or whatever it is for about a month and I've just got to get well.

A big thanks to Paul for agreeing to come down earlier than he had planned and take the drum seat. With Paul there, along with Roger and maybe Steve Vincent, the drum spot is fully covered.

And finally, from another former "Good Time Charley", congrats to Larry on a long, illustrious career. You've inspired alot of players. Enjoy your well deserved retirement.

See ya soon,
Jim

I'm like Jim. I have overdone it this week with working on my Son's bathroom and taking a Shriner patient to Greenville. I hate to miss this one but I can't do it all.

Sorry I had to miss this show, I was suppose to play today but I have been having a terrible time with my feet and legs lately. As result of diabeties, the nerve endings in my feet are gone leaving my feet numb. I have been to a foot doctor but it looks as if the damage is done. My days of playing pedal steel may be over.

Mr. Bill,

Thx so much for the invite and I wish Mr. Sasser a wonderful retirement.
Sorry I played so bad. Looked everywhere for an excuse but couldn't find one.
Just don't seem to pull them steel shows off real good.

But I had an awesome time seeing you and JD. As i said Bill, you should be nominated for the SGHOF for all the hard work you do for steel.

Thx again! Love ya brother!..........k

Thanks for the great lineup yesterday, and especially for the lick-filled hour with Larry and JD. It was one for the history books.

We had a great time yesterday with a big send off for Larry Sasser. Thanks to all who attended, performed, and otherwise helped out.

And a special thanks to JayDee Maness for coming out to be a part of the tribute to Larry!

Stay tuned for next year's events!

This was the first show I've been able to go to for a long time due to my Mother's illness and my resent back surgery. It was good to get out and here some great steelguitar music. It's alway good to here my number one son play. It was also a treat to hear Larry Sasser play again. He is one of my favorite players, and JD well, he was top notch even on a strange guitar. Thanks to the Georgia gang for a great show and your hospitality.

Bob, your photos are simply great!--you did capture the mood as to this show. I'm calling it one of the best Georgia Steel Guitar shows I've ever attended. And as for your being proud of your number one steel playing son: You should be! He played great as usual and we are all proud of him, such a talented member of the steel guitar family. Now I'm looking forward to the next time------

Wendell, thanks. We are very proud of Jeremy, If he would just play something country. As far as the pictures, I was using a new camera and didn't have it all figured out. But, glad you liked them, I'll try and do better next time. I'm also looking forward to the next one.

After a few days to unwind and reflect back on this show, I think our friend and one of our staff guitarists, Johnny Thomas, summed it up quite well when he said "it will be hard to top this one!". Sometimes you're blessed to ba a part of something great. This show falls into that catagory.
