Joined the Navy at the ripe old age of 17 and retired as a Electronics Chief Warrant Officer (CWO4) with 21 years service active/reserve. I have attended several universities and have a masters degree in business but the most difficult school ever for me was the Navy Electronis Technician School in Great Lakes. I owe the Navy a lot..................clark

Sent to Lackland AFB for Basic Training and Air Police Tech School. Stationed at Tyndall AFB, Panama City, Florida until discharge in 1966. With a wife and two kids in 1970 I tried to re-enlist and they turned me down. Told me if the Air Force wanted me to have a wife and kids they would have issued them to me!

Graduated high school in 1967, drafted in 1969. Did
basic at Fort Dix, NJ, then to Fort Lewis Washington,
and on to Coleman Barracks, Sandhofen, Germany. Made Spec. 5 during my two year stint but didn't stay
and make it a career. Worked in an aircraft parts
warehouse, got to tour Europe a bit while I was there.
Saw parts of Germany, France, Austria and Switzerland. Hope to get back there someday.

I noticed that at 54, I am probably the youngest to have responded yet. Another testimony to the overall age of steel guitarists. :\
