Acid Test...

Post by Lynn Stafford »

Well, thanks so much everyone :D

I decided to give this guitar the old "acid test" this weekend. I played it both Friday and Saturday nights on the bandstand and then again on Sunday afternoon at our local steel jam. I'm happy to report that there were no issues and only sheer delight! Great playability, tone and sustain. I guess double checking all the set screws for tightness paid off

What a beautiful guitar! Particular kudos from my personal point of view on your decision to forgo the black shading. Makes it much prettier, IMO!

Thanks Brint, for the kind words. I totally agree with you about the black shading of course. I've seen several lacquer finished Emmons guitars and some have the shading and some don't. I just prefer the latter.

Knee Levers / Set-up, Etc.

Post by Lynn Stafford »

I just wanted to mention that if anyone is holding back on purchasing this guitar because they'd prefer to have more knee levers, I could certainly oblige by adding more of them (for an additional charge, of course). As I mentioned earlier, I can revise the set-up from Emmons to Day style for no extra charge. I'll also make changes to the existing standard Emmons copedent for free as long as you pay for any additional parts (if required). The stock Emmons single coil pickups (wound to about 15K ohms) that originally came with this guitar sound great to me. I usually prefer a heavier wound pickup myself, but these actually have more than enough bottom and sound very even, with great string seperation as well. I'll be happy to swap them out for something else though, if there's something else that you prefer. Just let me know your preferences and we'll work out the details. If anyone has questions, please feel free to email them to me and I'll promptly reply.

Lynn, this is pure guitar porn. I hope my wife doesn't catch me drooling at the computer. I'm going to buy a lottery ticket today, if I win you'll be the first to know!

Price Reduction

Post by Lynn Stafford »

I've decided to drop the price by $500.00 to $4300.00, as after over 12,000 hits no one has bought this gorgeous Emmons guitar. I'd prefer to sell this guitar outright, but I may be willing to accept a trade, plus cash for a guitar that I find desirable. I might also be willing to trade this guitar for the right Emmons wraparound.
Best regards,
Lynn Stafford

I can't believe this axe is unsold. I played it about 2 months ago. It sounds and plays as beautifully as it looks.

If I hadn't just bought a lacquer P/P in March......it would be mine.....Oh yes. IT WOULD BE MINE

Post by Lynn Stafford »

Thanks Tony!

Well, I decided to play this one again last Saturday night at our monthy gig at the Beaverton Elks Lodge, as I had not played it for several weeks. Wow, someone is really going to be thrilled with this guitar! It's got LOOKS, PLAYABILITY and TONE to die for!

Also, I wanted to mention to anyone out there that may be hesitating to pull the trigger on this guitar; I won't be dropping the price any further. I have too much time and money invested in it to do so. Eventually this sour economy will improve, and Emmons PP guitars like this will only increase in value as time goes on.
Best regards,
Lynn Stafford

Hi Caleb,

Thanks so much for the kind remarks! It was good talking with you this morning.

The guitar is at standard height, just to answer his question publicly.

Almost 25,000 views as of now...and it's still available at this point :)

Post by Lynn Stafford »

This fine guitar has been sold locally to my friend, Bob Muller who seems to be very pleased with it!

Please close this one up b0b.

Please note: I have a couple more D-10 lacquer Emmons push-pull guitars that I'm currently restoring and will be posting them for sale in the very near future, so stay tuned :D
