Holding tuning with no problem!

Here they are in front of 25000 + MTB fans!

Steel Friends,

I'm gonna start putting together a line up sheet (play list).

I am encouraging everyone regardless of your playing ability get on the play list.

The purpose of the Virginia Steel Guitar Convention is to bring the steel guitar community together, visit with friends and more importantly make new friends.

Send me a PM or email if you are gonna play so I can get your name on the list. It may be too late if you wait.

Bring a CD with you with at least 4 tracks on it that you plan to play.

After everyone has played with the tracks we will start again with a top notch backup band.

I have modeled the VSGC after the MASGA Steel Guitar Shows. MASGA has a well run organization and a big variety of talent. There must have been 20 players at the last show I played in Kannapolis NC.

The things that impress me the most about the MASGA events held twice a year:

1. Players of all levels perform.
2. None of the players view the environment as competitive. It’s not.
3. Everyone’s main objective is visiting with people that share a common interest. Steel Guitar.
4. Everyone standing around talking shop all day.

If we can get this thing off the ground I would like to do it every 6 months.

It’s great fun and gives us all a reason to start practicing again! So sign up and participate in the fun.

Hello Sid,
I would love to come but we have graduation from 6:00 pm till 8:00 PM that Friday Night. Because of the travel involved I don't think I could make it. I hope things slow down some soon. I really enjoy the jams. Maybe I can make the next one. Maybe I can get Allen to take this new justice guitar with him so you can see it and hear it. He was playing it last night and man it sounded great! Hope to see you soon!! Live strings have been great!! Thanks !!

Glen, I always have a spot for you. I talked with Ray and he said he is coming as well.

I've got both of you on the list. Looking forward to seeing you guys.

We now have 14 confirmed players. We might be able to squeeze in one or two more. If anyone is interested in playing, you need to sign on pretty soon.

Steel Guitar friends,
Live Steel Strings and The Virginia Steel Guitar Convention is pleased to announce that we have 15 confirmed players registered to perform June 9, 2012.

In order to keep this Convention limited to a one day event, 15 players is about all we can handle.

We do encourage anyone interested in playing to sign on to the waiting list in case we have a no show the day of the Convention.

I have been contacted be several dozen musicians that plan on attending this event to just enjoy the day.

The Virginia Steel Guitar Convention is open to the public and everyone is welcomed. Please tell your friends and plan to attend. It will surely be a fun filled day.

Johnny, Chuck Campbell called me this afternoon and said he had 3 more steel friends that wanted to come!

I told them to come on down! It's gonna be a late one but we are gonna have a big time.
