Gary...I don't know if you are aware of the thread that Elton Smith started a while back (maybe two months ago) that just recently dropped off the first page called "Different Styles". If you haven't checked it out you should. It contains a wealth of material from all sorts of players and styles on Utube that should ease your troubled mind.

Amazing, drastic things ARE happening out there - you just have to stop listening to the radio & TV (i.e. the Nashville/LA/NYC machine) and moaning steel players who wonder why nobody want to hire them to play Ray Price shuffles. Hell in a handbasket, indeed.

I know it's country, ( I still love it and all steel guitar)but check the position of the steeler on stage and the audience domographics! Scott appeals to whole new generation. Now if we could get you in that postion Mike P ( love your stuff as well )on public performances Whoa!
BTW - who is the steeler??
