Buddys solo starts at 3min-25sec.
I can't wait to get a little oil from the side of my nose on my finger (like the Bass player does at ~2:56) and try that really high finger-slide technique that he demonstrates (next time I see one of the upright players I know locally).
I like Buddys solo ('didn't need to see the sound man right in the middle of it though).
In the here and now, this particular vid seems "instructional".
I don't even play fiddle, but I learned a few fiddle licks just watching the close-ups.
I would like to hear the next song. I bet it smoked.
Re: "Awful"... I don't hear a single out of tune note in this vid.
Nothing makes the Steel sound more awful than out of tune playing, and I just don't hear it here.
I'm getting nadda when I search for a Morgan Scoggins sound clip. Link???

Old thread, but god I love this video, I must have watched it a hundred times and every time it makes me smile that so much talent and so much class can be in one room together and someone got it on tape. They obviously look like they're having fun, maybe making fun of themselves and the whole situation, who knows but they are so good at what they do they can just pull out anything and make it the best in the world and have a laugh at each other while doing it.
The bass player Edgar Myer is the standout in my opinion, makes me laugh every time!
I think I'll watch it again

I thought the whole video was fantastic and showed the amazing talent of each. I did especially like what the bass player did, very creative and intertaining. Buddy's ride to me was best at what they were doing.
