I'm planning to go again this year, I really enjoyed it last year, and this year sounds even better.
Fred, one of the highlights last year for me was hearing Johnny Davis. He only got to play guitar on a couple of songs, and I would like to have heard much more. He blew me away with his playing on the Curley Chalker video. I haven't heard him play steel, but I'm sure he's really good on that too. Will he be there this year?

Darvin
Johnny Davis is one of the great, under-recognized masters of the steel AND standard guitar. I used to see him all the time in LA playing with a variety of bands, quite frequently with Gene Davis and the Star Routers. A total monster. Yes, I have the Chalker videos, and as great as his performance is on that tape, it's only a small part of his ability. I sure hope he's there this year... Al Vescovo also.

Hi everyone. My wife Gail and I will be there for the first time. Looking forward to seeing everyone. We have some friends in the Phoenix area, so we will be seeing them as well as all of our musical family and friends. Haven't been to a steel show for over a year, missed St. Louis due to my wife's illness and lack of funds, but things are looking up and will be glad to see and hear you all play your best.
See you all in a few weeks, and I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and grand New Year.
