Well, Mr. Day - Tommy and I are so happy for you! I'll bet that guitar is really beautiful - and was just waiting for someone special to take it home! You've got to get a picture of it for everyone to see! Of course, we just might see you in February at the Douglasville show . . . maybe??

Hi Brett. We have never met, but I know you must be a great personality from what I read on posts by other steelers. I know the exact feeling of acquiring a new axe, as my wife surprised me at the St. Louis convention with my customized "dream guitar." So that puts us in the same class -- except age (I'll be 75 tomorrow.)

Congratulations on the GFI. Gene Fields is a mechanical genius when it comes to steel guitars -- I know because I used to work with him in the development lab at Fender Musical Instruments in the 60's.
