Mike, I've got a prototype of one of those on my guitar, unfortunately, it turned out being that's the only sting I'm fast on, even with all others being equal! Ohhh what am I gonna do. Can't you just share your magic secret with me on this? I promise not to tell anyone!
Maybe Herby will share this with me? Last show he played on I hear they gave him a speeding ticket!

Thanks to everyone that played on the show and especially to Mike Sigler and Herby Wallace for making it such an enjoyable day. I know it was quite a drive for both of you but loved the show and also getting to visit was great.

Well, I just returned late last night from this great show as Danny always hosts a great show. I thought the turnout was really good as many other shows I have done are way down in attendance. The backup band did an outstanding job as I knew they would since I had worked with them before. Also one of my favorite drummers, Dan Crampton, who played on my MI 2002 DVD dropped and he put the icing on the cake as he cut a groove as Ben Brogdon used to say "a mile wide". The only bad part was that they talked me into playing on the jam and I couldn't keep up with Mike Sigler and Del Shorts on speed as I still don't have all of it back since I had a stroke a few years back, so I do apologize for that.
Also, Harrison, MI is a nice place to visit and I really like the Lakeside Motel which is right beside the lake of course and the Diner down the street is my kind of place. I hope Danny will give me another chance next year.

The Michigan steel show was another great success again this year, and the attendance was wall to wall. As expected, Mike Sigler and Herby Wallace put on stellar performances, as did most all of the artists who played at this show.
Luke Galloway and Angie Raulerson were our special guest star singers this year, and they put on a great show too. The audiance loved them.
All in all, it was a fun packed day for everyone who attended, and I'm still hearing acolades for Mike and Herby.
As Herby and Mike said, the back up band was spectacular, and their performances with the steel players was second to none. I am indeed very proud of them.
Also, a very special thank you to our staff bass player, Jaxie Hartman for her performances with the artists, and for her reknowned performance of the Patsy Cline, "She's Got You" skit.
I'm already looking forward to next year and making plans.
