TANG Klines

Post by steve takacs »

Richard, unfortunately, Chang Lian could not make the trip, but her friend Tang Cui Hong did. Tang arrived to make blueprints of Kline guitars, take them back to China, and start pedal steel production in Beijing.
John, as for the bump, I'm just try to do my part to increase optimism in these down times. 8)
Steven get well soon. Thanks, stevet

Dang Steve,

That sounds great. We have Emmons clones from Europe, why not Kline clones (say that 3 times fast without repeating yourself) from China. I think she needs to visit out here and get some fresh ideas fro the Kline :D .

Just bumping for a great guitar...

New Zealand Geography

Post by steve takacs »

Paddy, you know your geography quite well. Beijing is a very flat city, but curiously enough, has tens of thousands of interesting curves. Bumpo for the Kline. stevet

Homegrown Kline production for local consumption only

Post by steve takacs »

bob, given the state of the US economy and lack of purchasing power, the young woman decided not to come to our fair land, but to examine my Kline in Beijing, produce a few and see how they sell in the local Chinese market. I think Nick Reed's comment about being "guitar poor" spooked them. They assumed that if Nick can't afford one, many other players would follow his lead. stevet :( :(

You need to explain to them, Steve, that Nick won't buy anything that doesn't have an Emmons logo on it.

Seriously, keep us posted on the progress of this Kline clone project.

Kline steel guitar

Post by Steven Black »

Hello Steve, my girl friend Jia is Still in China visiting her parents, I think the 31st is her last day in China, she will be coming back to the states soon, Asian women are the most beautiful women, glad I found mine, known her for 6 years, time to ask the big question soon real soon, have you introduced the chinese lady to an Excel steel guitar they are made in japan, but if not help her graph out the guitar and look for parts to build one, or start with a single neck guitar first with 3 pedals and 5 knees. has your kline sold yet Steve?

They also missed the the LAUGHING smiley
In other words it was a tongue in cheek comment.

But it also can mean he has already bought 5 of them,
and can't afford # 6... Yet!

Tell them to not get spooked by American humor. ;)

STEVEN, KLINE D-10 IS STILL FOR SALE.
David is right, this has been bit tongue and cheek but the idea of building steel guitar parts here has got me thinking. Why not try it? They would be cheap but the issue is always "quality control" though and I would have to have samples of parts from various guitars.
As for Steven's mentioning that: Asian women are the most beautiful women, I can't confirm that, but I will do a scouting report at a local park to gather some evidence from time to time. Here is a mother-daughter shot. The little kids are really a scream:

A Ok Here

Post by steve takacs »

Hi ya Steve,
Thanks, things are OK on this end and my hope is that they are on your end as well. Just returned to Beijing 4 hours ago and though the skies are not as blue and clear as those in Beijing we are pleased to be back. If your friend is in the Beijing area and has the time, , please tell her to call. Oh yes, be careful of those drivers. steve
