Yeah Steve I've always been in to doing as many genres as possible. Prog rock has been one of my central concentrates. My senior recital was pretty much all prog with a little Eric Johnson and Jeff Beck. I did Freeway Jam. Cause We've Ended as Lovers is also a fave.
I just moved so my studio is down but. once it's running I'll post something.

I have a prog (with world music and some orchestral aspects mixed in) project in the works called Wheels of Poseidon that I plan on getting a stick player, keys and drums for. i've toyed with the idea of a melodic turntablist but, we'll see. Ultimately I have plans for a stage show but, that's down the line.

I'm juggling this with my old style group so it takes some time.
It's tough to serve mutiple masters of acoustic, electric and multi-genre but, it's fun!

Thanks Craig...I actually made some very crude fret markers with electrical tape on the side of the neck pickup, for reference.
Maybe these would work as well?

Thanks Howard - that steel dirtys up pretty good...lot's of girth.("that's what she sa..." oops, nevermind :whoa: )

Craig, the tape markings I put on are next to the neck PU, as opposed to the fretboard markers.

Dude, I wish I could have seen that when I was 16. I would have switched over to steel a whole lot sooner!

Amazing playing, and I too prefer it over the original. Now you have to buy some spandex and practice hip girations. The lap steel just doesn't look as phalic as a regular guitar...
