OK.
Here is the news.

Remember this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbYZXYl50tc

YES. John Stannard is coming with me !

Flights booked tonight, passports ready, and we are already organizing our rehearsals for preparation for our 'pick' at the Jamboree.

I would like to add that although I am happy about John coming with me, unfortunately, my Dad can't come due to health reasons. He has to have an operation in January which will take some recovery time so we talked tonight and because it would be late February before he can make a decision to come along, we both decided that I should ask John to join me, so his visit, unfortunately, won't be 2011. I was obviously looking forward to him coming and although I was not planning a 2012 visit, if he is in good health I think I would have to change my thoughts, and bring him then.

Great news, David! Looking forward to seeing and hearing both of you play. Let me know if either of you need a tube amp to play thru. I should have the new 4x10 Tweed amps there for guitar and the all tube steel amps as well.

I just got a room at the Holiday Inn Express. 89 bucks. The Sheraton is full, but usually a few rooms shake loose. Hope to see you all there.

Wow. Charlie & Denise....You're both coming too. It will be great to see you again. You know Fran isn't coming because she told you on Facebook. But I am bringing John Stannard. He is not quite as good looking but you can give him a cuddle if you want... :)

I just had a thought after typing that? I am sharing a room with him! It will be like sleeping in a cattle shed I reckon! :?

Hi everyone

Post by David Hartley »

Thanks for all your replies to this thread. Ken Fox, I will email you but I think the answer is yes. The only thing John is worried about is he knows he will want to bring one home with him. :D

John and myself had our first rehearsal last night. We are getting together every week at least until the gig. Were both a bit rusty. :D

Bill. I will email you shortly. Hope you're enjoying your apple TV. Look up Xoticguitars as a search on YouTube on your TV. The PLAYERS. Wire it up through your big speakers and turn up the volume. :)

Steve Alcott, I will email you shortly also. I have a question for you.

Can't wait to see you all. Please keep posting here if you're planning to be at the show. :D

Mullen and I are coming. Looking forward to it.

Great to see all the first timers. There will be lots of guitars to buy from many manufacturers. Most will take your credit cards and cash.

Bring lots of spending money, this is where it all is. You can take stuff home right from the show. There are so many great CD's that these performers have. They usually all have booths setup. There is every accessory you could want, and many people stock up for the show, find great deals, unknown items, and test drive and purchase all the major guitars out there.

Dallas is where it is at this year.........

I am coming too. I will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express, coming in thursday night. Kind of wish I could go to the Paul Franklin thing but apparently it's sold out. If anyone has an extra ticket let me know, I may be able to change my flight to come in wednesday night instead. I'm sure it will be a great time regardless, I'm looking forward to my first trip to Dallas, and spending some time with all you folks !
