Thanks to Michael for raking these up. I used to subscribe to the BMG mag for a few years until it went out of print, and met Kealoha Life though it; he was very kind and wrote me letters of encouragement, but I was not playing steel then. The picture of Garney Nyss brings back fond memories. He was my first steel guitar hero and I must've worn his 78 rpm shellac records thin with the number of times I played them.
