And as good as they are now , they are adding Vince Gill and someone else that I don't think they ever named.
I believe it was mentioned that Vince Gill's wife Amy is the other person being added to The Time Jumpers. I loved the way they zoomed in on Paul's hands when he was playing. Awesome.

I think they are quite good enough without adding Vince, but will love to see how the sound changes. Amy would be a good addition too. She's great. But I would rather they stay as they were on Larry's Country Diner.

I wouldn't understand adding Amy Grant when they already have Dawn Sears, but Vince might come with strings attached, no pun intended.

I think the band is fine without Vince and Amy. Andy Reiss is more than capable of holding down the fort on guitar. They don't NEED another,or another female singer for that matter.

Theresa, It's real hard for me to say which of those songs is better. I'll just have to love both. :D

check out past youtube videos....TIME JUMPERS had another female singer in CAROLYN MARTIN who left to form her own band . Also never have I seen VINCE play anything but rhythm while with TTJ .PAUL,ANDY and others don't sing so who in @%&*$ do you suggest do the intricate harmonies that are just as good as anything PF would play, and just as important to the overall show .VINCE has been sitting in with TTJ for years ,this just makes it more formal .

Some of you sound like you just want to hear PF all night long .I don't !!!!!! They are all some of my favorite musicians even RANGER DOUG and the accordian player. :whoa:

The background vocals during RANGER DOUGs song was thin...just like going from 3 down to 2 fiddles . LARRYs show was better than good but listen to your TTJ dvd again....NO COMPARISON

Whoa Bob,

Pull your undies out of your crack. I am very familiar with the Time Jumpers and know that Carolyn and Aubrie left the band. In my opinion, the 3 fiddles were a bit overwhelming, and truthfully, don't see much difference. I do miss Carolyn, but the harmonies seemed just fine to me on Larry's... I've never noticed that western swing was so dependent on intricate harmonies. I never noticed that was their strong point when Carolyn and Aubrie were in the band. I'm listening to the Time Jumpers CD now, and haven't heard what I would call extraoridnary harmonies, just good ones. Maybe later in the CD. :\ I would be very disappointed if this turned into the Vince/Amy show (both of whom I like a whole lot). I've seen some of the YouTube videos with Vince and TTJ, and really wasn't jumping up and down on my seat and drooling, although it was good.

I've seen the Jumpers several times, and on each occasion they had a different steel player. All great in their own style but very different. Aubrey Haynie is an outstanding fiddle (and mandolin) player, but much of the time he sat out.

The Jumpers are not about individuals but are the sum of the parts. I spoke to their manager on my last trip to investigate the possibility of them coming to the UK/Europe for a week or so. They would blow up a storm over here too.

TO PAUL.....

I in no way was showing you disrespect in my previous post .TTJ is my favorite group of entertainers . I don't single you out or anyone else tho because I enjoy ALL of what's offered as a group .Whether it's either of the 2 accordian players I've seen or the style rhythm guitar played, the complete style and sound of TTJ fascinates me .And I do believe 3 fiddles make a difference.

I met you at MOOSIC,PA (summer of 1977...I believe) and have been a huge fan every since. You appeared with Jerry Reed and in turn that line up @that time changed my musical tastes .

TO RICHARD.....

I said it sounded fine ,but in" MY OPINION " I liked the fuller sound .No need to attack --I didn't attack you and my "panties" are just fine.

You stated that ANDY could hold down the guitar work just fine ,and I stated that I didn't think VINCE was in competition with him .It seems lately that anybody with a different point of view gets verbally abused and that too is unwarranted. So you "WHOA" :P
