Howard, these videos are awesome!!!!
I've been bogged down at work since I've been back, and finally have a chance to see them. It's the next best thing to being there again. Nice camera work too, with close ups and panning.
I finally have a couple of days off, so I'm sure I'll be glued to You Tube the whole time!
I hope everyone enjoys the videos. This was Rick's idea to share the music. When we used to travel to the conventions together, he would always say how important it was to document this and show the world. There seems to be a spark toward a resurgence of non-pedal steel, and Rick Alexander's videos helped to do that.
A big thank you to Howard for spending two full days on his feet, not to mention the many hours in front of the computer transferring these. He also used all his own equipment and tapes, which was an extra baggage cost by air. I'm not much of a computer guy...Rick would always transfer and upload everything. It's a lot of hard work. We wouldn't be enjoying these videos now, without Howard's hard work. Thanks again, my friend!

After Rick passed away, Cathe mentioned that there was a lot of unreleased material of his playing archived away. Any chance of it being made available on CDs or DVDs ?
I would be happy to help with the process if needed.

Thanks, Alan. It's been a slow process, as you can probably understand. Unfortunately, most of his things were ruined, in one of those rare floods that happen once every 50 years. What was salvageable, was sold. But he did have a lot of data on one of his computers, which luckily, was in another location. Perhaps in time, we'll be able to see what all is on there. I'd also like to make his material available again. Good to hear from you. I hope you can make it in March.
