I just installed this change on my Derby. If you haven't, you should try it. Opened up a bunch on the lower strings for me. Could not find any draw backs, as of yet. Will keep experimenting with it. Note: It did make the C pedal a little harder to push, I will need to play with the changer and bell crank hole positions a bit, to get it to pull it's easiest.
I think you might like this change.

Hi Dick,
Which change was it that you installed? I put the FAC to ACD change on my Mullen with no problem as far as pedal action or tuning issues. I LOVE that pedal!! I am hoping that Paul will confirm the info I have about his combined boo-wah & C to C# & E to D change. Jim

Paul,
First, hi from California.
Now on to business..., I haven't had the chance to change my Franklin to the four pedal, or as some call it the "X" pedal setup, and I'm having problems with my 'C' pedal on the E9th neck. What is it supposed to be setup to? Otherwise, what strings does it change, and where do they change to? Please forgive my ignorance as I had a mini-stroke several years back and I've been out of business since then and have forgotten a lot of the copedents! I'm basically learning all over again! Actually, anyone out there can help me if you want to, b0b, anyone?
