That Gibson GA-77 is a great amp. My Grandpa bought it on a farm sale 1975ish. Been around the block.
Had a lot of fun at practice with the new toy last night. Some thoughts. A volume knob on the deck would be really helpful. My little vintage Martic V.T.C. gizmo that you see in the picture worked great but it would be better to get a pinky on a volume knob from time to time. I used my Line 6 M13 pedal with compression and reverb and it sounded killer. It was easier than I would have thought to dial in a sound that was great with the guitar and the steel. I also see why a neck selector type switch would be a good way to go or maybe a push-pull under that volume knob. It's hard to make a smooth transition for steel to guitar quickly while using my A/B box on the floor. Also going to take some exercise. Having my right leg take all the weight for a full song or two was doable but being stronger would help a lot. I think I got the pedals in about the right position but think I could have left them one position closer to where they were and been fine. So far, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. Thanks for all the comments. Now off to work on that hip/knee lever design....
By the way, rocking off the A to the B pedal looks interesting. Kinda like Elvis but way less gracefull...

Looks like a ton of fun on four legs. I have been using a tall bar-stool when I play Tele and stand-up steel, so I can sit or stand or prop myself up as needed. Don't have pedals on the steel but a bunch of stomp-boxes down below.

Good tip Dennis. I may try the barstool trick. Let me know when you want to come down and try her out. Be fun to have you sit (stand?) in at practice.

I would pay good money to see you play that, unless I could get in free.
