I was born in Omaha,Nebraska, left there when I was three.Lived in Ashland, Ky until I was eight. And have been living in the state of cornfusion every since. (State of Louisiana) I will always call Ashland, Ky my home. I lived in Tyler and Athens.Texas back in 1980 to 1981. I loved it there.(steel guitar heaven) I used to hang out at an old honky tonk on 155 outside of Tyler, called the Loafing Shed" Do you remember that place, Jody?

I was born in Bakersfield, California, grew up about three hours' drive north of there, joined the U. S. Air Force in the early 70's, spent 20 years all over the place (Germany, Iceland, Saudi Arabia, Texas (San Antonio/Randolph AFB), Oklahoma City, Marysville, CA, Fayetteville, NC, and a few other places). Got out of the AF in early 90's traveled up and down the West Coast of the USA, then in 2005 moved over here to Sydney, Australia!!! Come on over for a visit, Mates!!!

Born in Washington, D.C., which may explain why my posts make as little sense as they do. I've always lived up and down the east coast of the US from Pompano Beach, FL to New York City, but I've never lived more than 20 miles from beautiful Route 1.

Hi Tommy, Yes I remember the Loafing Shed. It was after I left Tyler, but coming home to visit I drove by on SH155. In the 50's, there were no less than 5 0r 6 joints on SH31(Kilgore Hwy) at the county line, and SH271(Gladewater Hwy) at the county line. Picked in all of them. Jody.
