Will the first model be upgradeable to multi axis later on?

My Telonics foot pedal - FP-100 is in town but I missed the DHL delivery person. It was silly of them to try to make a delivery on our Sidney Crosby day and Stanley cup 2009 parade day. I'll go into Burnside on Monday and pick it up. Can't wait to try it out. :D

Defining and Implementing Features for the Multi-Taper Pedal

Rodger,
The pedal has only been out a few weeks so it is little soon to define all the software enhancements and possible hardware iterations. We are actively searching for people to input ideas and suggestions. Such input has been a dominant factor in the design of the present pedal. Please send me an email with any ideas you have and any features you would like to see on this version of the pedal or the future models now in engineering. Specifically regarding multi-axis control; we have been working on expression control coincident with the multi-taper function since day one, but there is still time to input various ideas. The mechanics of the current pedal are single axis, however the TMRS remote sensor is capable of multi-axis function sensing, but the code and hardware to interpret additional axes are not in the current model. Whether or not such functions are to be included in the current model will depend entirely on the amount of demand there is for it due to the cost of the software engineering effort involved.

So the short story is first, we need to first obtain the inputs, second we will define the hardware and hardware required to accomplish the desired functions, and lastly, cost out the effort to write the code and implement the functions. As an example, there is over $12,000 in software (so far) in the current pedal model. (People who are not associated with software development typically have no idea of software cost. We need to realize that a good software engineer is worthy of a fair wage. Just like the rest of us, he has kids to feed, payments to make and gas to buy. Good engineers are doubly valuable, because there is almost nothing as frustrating as bad software……)

Well said Dave....

Is there any difference between the Telonics FP-100 and the Mullen MVP 600 volume pedal.

This pedal was tested along with the Mullen SG300 preamp side by side with the Hilton pedal, and Revelation Preamp...The results were posted in the Electronics section. This pedal has made a major difference in the tone in my rig...I am SOLD...What an incredible leap in technology....Mick
