Hello,

I think the lacquer guitars might have a slightly different sound. But as a player of a black mica guitar I would still LOVE to have a natural blonde maple Emmons. Not that I would ever part with black one, of course.

Best,

Jim

Jim,
That's a brand new Emmons p/p with a 30 year old cabinet. :D

When I was with the company we still had hundreds of these postcards.

Hey Erv,

The Emmons folks told me they couldn't make a natural-finish guitar because all the existing P/P bodies are already stained in their respective colors. I would seriously consider ordering one if I could have a natural maple finish. I would want the small decal (like they put on the pedal rack) instead of the plate logo and I might want wood necks. Otherwise it would look very similar to yours.

Jack, it's good to see you here. I still have the LeGrande you built for me in 1992 (or was it '93?).

Best,

Jim

Jim, thanks. Good to hear you still have that guitar. No reason why a new PP body can't be built. Parts would be the problem. I have no idea if Ron is building any lacquer guitars. The guy that did that work for many years is no longer there.

My old Emmons used to belong to Hal Rugg back in the early 70's.
It's all original including the natural lacquer which has aged to a golden color.

Erv you think you would be interested in adopting me? It would be my pleasure to be your adopted son if you'd leave that good looking blonde to me in your will. :D ;-)
